Tolerate TOP
Taints and tolerations work together to ensure that pods are not scheduledonto inappropriate nodes. One or more taints are applied to a node; thismarks that the node should not accept any pods that do not tolerate the taints.

The above example used effect of NoSchedule. Alternatively, you can use effect of PreferNoSchedule. This is a "preference" or "soft" version of NoSchedule -- the system will try to avoid placing apod that does not tolerate the taint on the node, but it is not required. The third kind of effect isNoExecute, described later.
In this case, the pod will not be able to schedule onto the node, because there is notoleration matching the third taint. But it will be able to continue running if it isalready running on the node when the taint is added, because the third taint is the onlyone of the three that is not tolerated by the pod.
Normally, if a taint with effect NoExecute is added to a node, then any pods that donot tolerate the taint will be evicted immediately, and pods that do tolerate thetaint will never be evicted. However, a toleration with NoExecute effect can specifyan optional tolerationSeconds field that dictates how long the pod will stay boundto the node after the taint is added. For example,
Now Duke cancer biologist Jason Somarelli, PhD, will collaborate with this group of Duke marine scientists to explore the cellular adaptations these whales possess that gives them such an amazing ability to tolerate low-oxygen (hypoxic) environments as they dive and forage for food. "These whales are world-record divers; they dive down the equivalent of seven Empire State Buildings," said Somarelli, assistant professor in medicine.
Somarelli will work closely with Andy Read, PhD, director of the Duke Marine Lab; Andreas Fahlman, PhD, and Tom Schultz, PhD, of Duke's Nicholas School of the Environment; and Nicola Quick, PhD, of the University of Plymouth. "We might be able to figure out how whales tolerate these low oxygen environments and how stress interplays with that," Somarelli said. "We think that our findings can inform which species we focus on for conservation."
Low-oxygen states are relevant to many human health challenges, including heart attack, stroke, COVID-19, prolonged surgical procedures, and cancer, Somarelli said. In the long term, studying how whales tolerate low-oxygen environments could help lead to discovery of a druggable target that could be manipulated to help humans better tolerate hypoxia.
"Why tolerate religion?" The question is raised by someone who thinks there is something wrong about religion as such. To tolerate, Brian Leiter emphasizes, is to "put up" with beliefs or practices that one regards as "wrong, mistaken, or undesirable" (p. 8). His paradigm case of principled tolerance is one in which a "dominant group has the means at its disposal to effectively and reliably change or end [a] disfavored group's beliefs or practices, and yet . . . acknowledges that there are moral or epistemic reasons . . . to permit the disfavored group to keep on believing and doing what it does" (p. 13). Forcibly changing or ending religious belief has commonly been extremely difficult or impossible to achieve by any means short of total extermination or banishment of the disfavored group, as history shows, and is therefore a really scary project. With his stated paradigm in mind, we might think that Leiter's statement that "the contemporary problem, at least in the post-Enlightenment secular nations, . . . is why the state should tolerate religion as such at all" (pp. 14-15), would be ominous indeed if it were an accurate reading of political reality.
Description:The FCC's Enforcement Bureau announced it has begun targeting property owners and managers that knowingly tolerate pirate broadcasting on their properties, exercising the Commission's new authority under the recently enacted PIRATE Act.
Holocaust denial (HD) is the activity of denying the occurrence of key events and processes which constitute the Holocaust. Should it be tolerated? HD brings into particularly sharp focus many difficult questions faced by defenders of content-neutral liberal principles protecting freedom of expression. I argue that there are insufficient grounds for the legal prohibition of HD, but that society has the right and the duty to expel and exclude deniers from the Academy.
On the difficulties that persist, she said, "I think the world does not believe that women deserve what they deserve. We do not value women's lives. We don't value women's needs and we normalize the abnormal. And, of course, we cannot normalize that, it is not right, we cannot treat women that way, we cannot tolerate violence, we cannot tolerate disrespect and we cannot tolerate ignoring women's needs." 041b061a72
